Acceptance of Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a binding agreement between you and Lotan Dascalu ("CoreSteps", "we", "us") governing your use of the CoreSteps website, application, and related services (together, the "Service").
By creating an account, accessing, or using the Service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms, by our Privacy Policy, and by our Health & AI Disclaimer, all of which are incorporated here by reference. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make a material change, we will notify you through the Service or by email before it takes effect. Continuing to use the Service after a change takes effect means you accept the revised Terms. If you do not accept them, you may cancel your subscription and stop using the Service.
Eligibility & Minimum Age
The Service is intended for users aged 18 and older only. During signup you'll be asked to provide a real date of birth, which we rely on to verify eligibility. Your date of birth is stored on your account and can't be self-edited afterward.
If you provided a genuinely mistaken date, you may contact us via our Contact page to have it corrected — such a correction is possible only once for the lifetime of the account, and can never be made to a date that would make you a minor. Repeated correction requests, or ones that appear to be an attempt to circumvent this requirement, may result in the account being disabled.
You must also be legally able to enter into a binding contract and not barred from using the Service under applicable law.
Account Registration & Security
To use most features you must create an account, either with an email address and password or through Google sign-in. You agree to provide accurate information and to keep it up to date.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us via our Contact page promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without authorisation.
Accounts are personal. You may not share an account, and you may not create multiple accounts to obtain additional free trials, refunds, or promotional benefits.
Use of the Service
CoreSteps provides training plans, workout logging, body-metric tracking, and AI-generated coaching content for personal fitness (at home, at a gym, or anywhere else). Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Service for your own personal, non-commercial purposes.
You may not: copy, modify, reverse-engineer, or create derivative works from the Service; resell, sublicense, or make the Service available to third parties; use automated means to scrape or extract content; interfere with or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service or its infrastructure; or use the Service in violation of any applicable law.
All content in the Service that is not your own — including the exercise library, training plan templates, instructional text, software, and branding — remains the property of CoreSteps or its licensors.
Acceptable Use & AI Chat Conduct
The AI coach is provided for training-related guidance only. When using it, you agree not to submit content that is abusive, harassing, hateful, sexually explicit, or unlawful; not to attempt to manipulate the AI into behaving outside its intended purpose; and not to use it for purposes unrelated to your training.
We operate automated safeguards. Repeated off-topic or abusive use may result in a warning and, if it continues, temporary suspension of your access to the AI chat feature for a period of 24 hours. This suspension affects the chat feature only — your account, your data, your training plan, and your other features remain available. Serious or repeated violations may lead to suspension or termination of your account under the Termination section below.
Usage limits apply to AI features according to your subscription tier, and are described in the Service. We may adjust these limits where necessary to prevent abuse or to maintain service stability.
The coach may propose concrete actions in chat — such as logging a one-off workout, updating your saved preferences and answers, or creating a temporary plan for a limited period. These actions are never carried out automatically: they are shown to you only as a proposal, and only your explicit confirmation in chat causes them to be carried out. Confirming a proposal is treated as your own instruction, equivalent to entering that information yourself.
Free Trial
New accounts receive a 7-day free trial with full Pro access. No payment method is required to begin the trial, and no card is charged automatically at any point during or after it.
When the trial period ends, your account moves to the Free tier automatically unless you have chosen and completed checkout for a paid plan. You will not lose your data at the end of a trial — your logged workouts, plans, and metrics remain in your account, though features limited to paid tiers will no longer be available.
Trials are limited to one per person. We may withhold or revoke a trial where we reasonably believe multiple accounts have been created to obtain additional trials.
Subscriptions & Billing
CoreSteps offers a Free tier and paid subscription tiers. The features and prices of each tier are shown in the Service and may change; we will give notice before a price change affects an existing subscription.
Payments are processed by Paddle.com, our payment provider and merchant of record for these subscriptions. Paddle acts as the seller for billing and tax purposes — your payment will appear on your statement as Paddle.com, and Paddle calculates, collects, and remits any applicable sales tax or VAT on the transaction. CoreSteps does not receive, process, or store your full card details at any time — these are handled entirely by Paddle under its own terms and privacy policy. We store only your subscription tier and status and the identifiers Paddle provides.
Paid subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period (monthly or annual, as selected) at the then-current price, until cancelled. By subscribing, you authorise Paddle, acting as merchant of record on our behalf, to charge your chosen payment method on a recurring basis.
Prices are shown in ILS or USD depending on your locale. As merchant of record, Paddle calculates and applies any sales tax or VAT that applies to your purchase, shown before you confirm payment at checkout.
Cancellation & Refunds
You may cancel your subscription at any time through the Paddle Customer Portal, accessible from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period: you keep paid access until that date, and you are not charged again afterwards.
14-day money-back guarantee. When you first subscribe to a paid plan, you may request a full refund of that first payment within 14 days of the charge, for any reason. This applies to all customers regardless of location. To request it, contact us via our Contact page within the 14-day window. The refund guarantee applies to your first paid billing period only, and may be used once per account.
Beyond that first-period guarantee, and except where required by applicable law, payments already made are non-refundable, and we do not provide partial or pro-rated refunds for unused time within a billing period.
If you are a consumer in a jurisdiction that grants a statutory withdrawal or cancellation right, that right applies in addition to the guarantee above and is not diminished by these Terms.
User Content
"User Content" means anything you enter into the Service — your profile and intake answers, workout logs and notes, body measurements, chat messages to the AI coach, and support enquiries.
You retain ownership of your User Content. You grant CoreSteps a limited licence to store, process, and display it for the sole purpose of operating and providing the Service to you — including transmitting the relevant parts of it to our AI provider to generate your personalised plans, insights, and chat replies, as described in our Privacy Policy.
We do not sell your User Content, and we do not use it to train third-party AI models.
You are responsible for the content you submit. Do not enter information you are not comfortable storing with us, and do not submit content that infringes the rights of others.
Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. You may delete your account yourself from the account settings page; the effects of deletion are described in our Privacy Policy.
We may suspend or terminate your account if you materially breach these Terms, if we are required to do so by law, or if your use poses a security or legal risk to CoreSteps or other users. Where circumstances reasonably allow, we will give you notice and an opportunity to remedy the issue first.
On termination, your right to use the Service ends immediately. Sections that by their nature should survive — including User Content ownership, Limitation of Liability, and Governing Law — remain in effect.
Third-Party Services
The Service depends on third-party providers, including Supabase (hosting, database, and authentication), Anthropic (AI features), Paddle (payments, acting as merchant of record for paid subscriptions), and email delivery providers. Their availability, performance, and errors are outside our control.
We are not responsible for interruptions, delays, data loss, or damage arising from a third-party provider's own outage, failure, or change in service, except to the extent such responsibility cannot be excluded by law. Your use of those services may also be governed by their own terms and privacy policies.
Changes to the Service
We are actively developing CoreSteps. We may add, change, or remove features, and we may modify subscription tiers and what they include. Some features are shown as planned or "coming soon" and may change or never be released.
Where a change materially reduces what a paid tier includes, we will give you reasonable notice and, where appropriate, the option to cancel.
Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability
CoreSteps is a fitness tool, not medical advice. The Service, including all AI-generated content, is provided for general fitness and informational purposes only and is not a substitute for professional medical, physiotherapy, or nutritional advice. Please read our Health & AI Disclaimer, which forms part of these Terms.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI-generated content will be accurate or suitable for you.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, CoreSteps and its officers, employees, and suppliers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or relating to your use of the Service.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of (a) the amounts you paid to CoreSteps in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) USD 100.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Israel, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. The competent courts of Tel Aviv-Jaffa will have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service.
If you are a consumer resident elsewhere, you may benefit from mandatory protections under your local law, and nothing here deprives you of those rights.
Intellectual Property
All rights, title, and interest in and to the Service — including the CoreSteps name, logo, and branding; the software and its source code; the exercise library, exercise instructions, training-plan templates, and other content we provide; and the overall design, structure, and organisation of the Service — are and remain the exclusive property of Lotan Dascalu and its licensors, and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual-property laws.
Except for the limited licence to use the Service granted to you in these Terms, nothing here transfers to you any right, title, or interest in the Service or its content. You may not use the CoreSteps name, logo, or branding without our prior written permission.
If you send us feedback, suggestions, or ideas about the Service, you grant us a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use them for any purpose, without any obligation or compensation to you. This does not give us any rights in the personal or health data you enter, which remains governed by the User Content section and our Privacy Policy.
Force Majeure
CoreSteps will not be liable for any failure or delay in performing its obligations under these Terms where the failure or delay results from causes beyond its reasonable control. These include, without limitation: acts of God, natural disasters, fire, flood, or extreme weather; war, terrorism, civil unrest, or military action; strikes or labour disputes; epidemics or pandemics; failures, outages, or changes of a third-party provider (including Supabase, Anthropic, Paddle, hosting, telecommunications, or internet services); power failures; government actions, laws, or restrictions; and cyberattacks.
If such an event occurs, our affected obligations are suspended for the duration of the event. This section does not relieve you of your obligation to pay amounts already due, and does not affect your cancellation and refund rights under Cancellation & Refunds.
Electronic Communications
By creating an account, you consent to receive communications from us electronically — through in-app notices and by email to the address associated with your account. You agree that all agreements, notices, disclosures, and other communications we provide electronically satisfy any legal requirement that such communications be in writing.
These communications are service-related messages necessary to operate your account — for example: account and security notices, changes to these Terms or our policies, subscription, billing, and payment confirmations, free-trial and renewal reminders, responses to your support enquiries, and safety-related information. Because they are necessary to provide the Service, you cannot opt out of service communications while your account is active.
We will not send you marketing or promotional email without your separate, prior consent, and where you have given such consent you may withdraw it at any time without affecting service communications.
To receive electronic communications you need a device and software able to access email and the internet. Keep your email address up to date so you continue to receive them.
Language
These Terms, and our other legal documents, are provided in both English and Hebrew. Both versions are intended to convey the same meaning. In the event of an unintended discrepancy or inconsistency between the English and Hebrew versions, the English version will prevail, except where mandatory local consumer-protection law requires that the version presented to you in your language apply.
Export & Sanctions Compliance
The Service may be subject to export-control and economic-sanctions laws, including those of Israel, the United States, and other applicable jurisdictions. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that: you are not located in, ordinarily resident in, or accessing the Service from a country or territory subject to comprehensive government sanctions or embargo; you are not identified on any government list of prohibited, sanctioned, or restricted parties; and you will not use the Service in violation of any applicable export-control or sanctions law.
We may suspend or terminate your access if we reasonably believe your use would place us in breach of these laws.
